How it's marked, plainly
Reading and Listening are marked automatically. Writing and Speaking are marked by AI against the published IELTS band descriptors, and a qualified teacher reviews any script where the marking is uncertain. We are measuring how closely our marks agree with certified IELTS examiners, and we will publish the result whatever it shows.

Start with a free 45-minute IELTS workshop for your Grade 11 and 12 students: how IELTS works, which bands universities ask for, and a short sample task. Every student leaves with a sign-up link for the free mock. For schools that want more: a full mock for a whole grade, a readiness report for every student and for the school, a second test in December, and counselling for the students who want it. Free until 31 December 2026; terms for 2027 shared in December. For single schools and school groups.
